Unconditional Election - God "saves" those he wishes - only a few are selected for salvation.
This is one of their beliefs because they mention that with God's grace they Puritans had made it save after coming throught that fast and furious ocean. They had believed that God was saving them because of everyhting else they had been through. "They fell upon their knees and blessed the God of Heaven who had brought them over the fast and furious ocean."
Total Depravity - through Adam and Eve's fall, every person is born sinful - concept of Original Sin.
They had also believed that they were all born sinners because of the mistakes that Eve and Adams had, but that is not truth. They did beliee this and the way that it was proven to be truth of there beliefs were from the Sinners of the Hands of and Angry God. These people felt liek this but it was also said that you can not clean yourself from sins, God would be the only to clean you from them.

Plymouth Plantation
Once these people had come across the ocean, they were happy that they finally left England, because they were being oppressed. They thought it was God’s grace that had got them there, after all the bad conditions they went through, but once they got there the barbarians were ready to attack them. These people lives practically good compared to life they had in England.
One day the English were trying to fix their ship. While they were fixing the ship they saw the Indians and followed them, but the Indians kept running away. The English traced their foot steps all the way until they got lost. While they were lost they came across a basket of corn and they also found water. With this corn they were not going to starve anymore, and they now also had seeds to plant for the following year. Thanks to the Indians they were now going to be healthy.
The English, before they even got to the land they had decided that they were going to set up their own government, to gain liberty for them. Governor John Carver, for the first year was approved be the people. Small cottages were built for their habitation. An Indian came along to talk to English, but then brought another Indian whom had lived in England and knew how to speak English better. Then the Indians talked to the English until they created a treaty with conditions. After the treaty was set, Indians taught the English how to grow their own corn, where to fish, etc, so that the English would know how to live for themselves.
Mr. Carver dies of his sickness. Then his wife dies 5 or 6 weeks later. New governor comes in but he is sick as well, and is getting better, but either way they get him an assistant by the name of Isaac Allerton. Also the first marriage takes place.
They have plenty of food.
Private-A family would get a piece of land for themselves to plant corn according to how big the family was. The young boys and the men would plant all the corn and the wives and little ones would go pick the corn out.
Communal- Men were getting upset for having to work for other people that were not doing anything at all. Also men were getting angry that their wives were working for other men. This was an indignity and disrespect to them.

The Puritans
The Puritans’ beliefs were that because of Adam and Eve's fall, everyone was born as a sinner. They also believed that god only saved a certain few and that he didn’t die for all. Also that everyone else was going to go to hell. They also believed there was no ways to earn god's grace, and that it was up to the saints, like Jonathon Edwards to interpret gods word the way they chose to. These were their believes.
